Following 'Children of Europe' a very successful Comenius Project which we were involved in for three years,  the children of Bushmills Primary School are once again delighted to have been accepted for a further three year project with Spain, Poland and Germany.

This is our web site and we hope as the project progresses so will the website.  If you have any comments the children would love to hear from you.

 

Our Comenius Project

The project is based on the habitats of Europe.  It is a cross curricular project  through which we

would aim to give the children the opportunity to collaborate, cooperate, make decisions and draw

 conclusions in an atmosphere of cordiality and friendship.

  The pupils will do field work, experiments,reports, study photographs, write captions

and produce work for Art and Craft, Stories, poems and songs whilst communicating on a regular

basis with their partner schools either through emails, video conferencing or teacher visits to monitor and evaluate.

  The pupils would have the opportunity to work on a project from a completely different perspective whilst providing a unique audience ie; east and west (Germany and Poland)

as well as  Spain.

We, the staff and pupils will also be learning the basics of a second and third language to

   help in understanding our exchanges with our partner schools through videos (produced by

  pupils) and help from the local education board.

. The end product would be wall displays, exhibitions in local libraries and businesses, parent

evenings, production of videos and web pages on the internet to show the valuable multilateral work

being carried out in schools in Europe.
