Primary Six wrote a poem together as a class. The teacher wrote the poem on the board as we thought of the lines. Sometimes she had to rub out a line if we thought of a better one. We hope you like our poem.
OUR CLASS POEM We all set off for the
seashore It was a sunny day We were meeting other girls and boys We went to work and play. We had to find some seaweed Red, yellow, green and brown We spread it out upon the
rocks The sun dried what we had
found. We searched and searched until
at last A crab we saw it scuttled past We saw a limpet on a rock We tried and tried to get it
off. The more we tried The more we failed The limpet stayed and we turned tail. The sea anemones were spiky and red We thought they were cute and fed them some bread.
We used our nets to catch a
fish It wriggled and wriggled
about. We watched how it moved and
then we thought "We’d better let you
out".
