Hello, my name is Conor and
this is my mate Jonathan. This is a picture of
us trying to separate sand from salty water. A funnel , filter paper and
a glass jar was the equipment we used. We got a glass jar and we filled it up with water
[75 ml full] We got a funnel and filter
paper. We filled the glass jar with
sand and some salt. We put the filter paper
into the funnel and we poured the sand and salty water into the funnel and the
sand got stuck on the filter paper and the salty water went through into the
pan.
SEPARATING
SALT FROM WATER To separate salt from water
we had to boil the water. The water evaporated leaving the salt behind in the
pan.
