¯     Chilled waster will continue to be available to children at nominal cost to children.

¯     Healthy Breaks will continue to be offered by School Meals Service.

¯     After School Club provided five days per week

       Fresh fruit and water provided at start of clubs, charge of £1 per hour to assist with sustainability of club.

       Clubs offer physical activities, indoor and outdoor and also creative activities, art and cookery.

       P1-3 clubs 2.00pm to 3.00pm, P1&2, Monday Wednesday and Friday, P3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

       P4&5 clubs 3.00pm to 4.30pm Tuesday and Thursday, P6&7 Wednesday and Friday.

       Pyramid Plus potentially on Monday 3.00pm to 4.30pm. P5 children first term, transition club for P7 second two terms. 

¯     Computer classes for parents and others Wednesday evenings. Two six week courses planned first and second terms.

¯     Soccergym courses for parents to run concurrently with computer courses, self financing.

 

 

 

 

Pastoral Care/Anti-Bullying Policy

 

¯     Following the successful introduction of the ‘House’ system, ‘Golden Time’ – ‘Golden Child’ last year we will continue to use positive reinforcement throughout the child.

¯     Year 7 children will be given the opportunity to volunteer to act as ‘Playground Friends’ for younger children.  They will support the Key Stage 1 children and assist/introduce them to playground g\mes using appropriate equipment.

¯     Classes will continue to use ‘Circle Time’, ‘Class Council’ to give all children the opportunity and freedom to discuss concerns.

¯     Be available to carryout EMU project with another school in Northern Ireland.

¯     Principal will continue to act as Vice Chair of Bushmills Community Forum

¯     Principal will continue to serve as Chair of Bushmills Children & Young People’s Services (BCYPS).

¯     The Bushmills Primary Players to stage a pantomime in the school early in the second term.
